Environmental Health and Safety Initiative Implementation

Employee Changing Street Light

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is responsible for developing and implementing environmental and all occupational health and safety programs throughout Penn State's multi-campus system. EHS has five areas of responsibility: Environmental Protection, Laboratory and Research Safety, Workplace Safety, Radiation Protection, and Hazardous Materials.

OCM will provide communications, training, and engagement activities support for 27 EHS initiatives. These initiatives will create a University-wide safety culture by creating consistent processes that will be monitored to ensure compliance. Additionally, these processes and programs will be reviewed and updated as necessary as part of the ongoing sustainment plan.
